If you haven't made it to Leavenworth yet - get in your car and go now! This Bavarian themed town will make you want to buy your first Lederhosen or Dirndl outfit and party like it's Oktobefest all year round. With several AWESOME breweries, pubs, distilleries, outdoor sausage gartens and eateries, do NOT think you will leave sober or with an empty belly. Local hiking and moutain biking spots will help burn those calories, but let's be honest, there are NO calories when you are on vacay.
HIS VIEW - We had pulled meat sliders & tacos here, huge tap list- these guys have around 50 beers on tap on a big ass electronic color coded board. Sadly, no 50 beer sampler, but they do have a bottle shop attached that carries some of those hard to get singles (Founder’s CBS, Dogfish Head 120).
HER VIEW - On your next Big Foot hunting trip, stop by Stein. You could just go for the extensive rotating tap, but the food..ooooo so good. I mean they have bacon wrapped Bratwurst, BBQ, meat wrapped meat, and tacos with some kicking beers-- let's just say we are repeat customers at this joint! With family style tables you get to know other visitors and they even have their own little stores selling unique singles! Ps.. next trip we are trying the big rotisserie turkey leg!
HIS VIEW - 400 mustards to go with your Liter of German or local beer and sausage. The mustard also goes well with your napkin, a banana, whatever. Great place to drunk people watch!
HER VIEW - Fresh off the grill sausages with 20+ mustards to choose from, hot sauerkraut, warm pretzels with beer cheese, AND big beers! This place is a must stop at. It's outdoors so during the winter they have nice cover, over head heaters and pretty gas lamps to warm ya and in the summer when it's hot they have shade and misters. Hard to beat!
